I wrote a letter for a recent episode of the Just Lawful Podcast (episode 203, part 2), in which Sean and Daniel provide updates on some of the survivors they have interviewed over the course of their 200 episodes. Here’s a snippet of it, read by Sean in the video below.
“It’s been 3 years since I was interviewed on Just Lawful, 5 years since the perpetrator was sentenced, and 8 years since the crime was uncovered. In providing an update on where I’m at, I was forced to ponder the responsibility I feel to be honest and open, but at the same time to give a sense of hope and the promise of light within the dark. I’d be lying if I said that time heals all wounds, or even if I said that it helps things get easier. Instead, time gives you ups and downs, improvements and setbacks, wins and lessons.”
If you want to hear the rest, you have to go and listen to the episode!
And if you haven’t heard my story and my interview, go back to Season 2 and listen to episodes 17 to 22 for the story, and episodes 23 to 25 for my interview.
Forever grateful to Sean and Daniel for giving me a voice.
Memoir coming soon. 👩💻📑📖
